South Moluccan people in the Netherlands: a story so big that we thought it impossible to tell in it's full glory, even if we had hours. The best thing seemed to be to let that wish go, and just show a small part of story, so that maybe some of the rest would be suggested. That's why we made this 10 minute short...

This year Nijmegen focusses on the Moluccan Republic. In september, october and november the Indo Film Café shows movies around the Mollucan Islands and its people.
On Sunday October 9th the short Mena Muria will be shown, introduced by director Patrick van Es. Also present are actors
Bob Manusama, Ayala Telehala
and ZethTuhehay.
These last two will also take part
in the forum, lead by John van
den Broek and speak about the
subject of Sixty Years after the
Migration, together with photographer Kim Pattiruhu and moviedirector Bram Janssen. Bob Manusama, an expert in Mollucan history and contemporary situation will also join the discussion.

The 25th of september Mena Muria will be viewed at the
Festival in Leiden, followed by a short Q&A with the makers and some of the actors.
